Ingo Maurer 'Uchiwa' Chandelier, Germany, 1970s
Ceiling lamp designed by Ingo Maurer (1932-2019) for Design M, Munich, known as the SHICHI model from the “Uchiwa” series, crafted in 1973.
Even though it was made in the 1970s, this lamp still has its original box. It was only taken out for taking pictures.
Constructed with a wooden frame holding seven overlapping leaf-shaped fans made of bamboo and beige-colored rice paper, secured with brass clamps. Features an adjustable holder composed of cords, internally equipped with a socket and lamp holder made from bamboo tubes.
